Shelby Renee - *Lady Beneath The Willow

Shelby Renee - *Lady Beneath The Willow

She sits there by the creek, alone and lost br Small, fragile, and dressed in white br After months, this poor girl is still hurting so bad br She no longer has any strength to fight br br The water flows in its gentle pattern in front of her br This young girl use to shine as brightly as the sun br But now she just sits and stares at the trees br A pale, stone statue is what she has become br br Everday, she sits beneath the same Willow Tree br And every night, she sits in that very same frame br You would think she's forgotten how to move, how to talk br She's so depressed, you'd wonder if she knows her name br br But once a year, you'll see her move br And you wonder if today is gonna be the day br But once again, she's doesn't improve br And she walks to her husbands grave br br She lays by his tombstone, so small and alone br And sings her and her husbands lullaby br Then when the time comes to go back to the creek br She softly and sadly says her goodbyes br br After months and months of her heartbroken days br Her time had finally come to an end br She passed in her sleep beneath that same Willow Tree br And was buried beside her husband br br But once a year, at the right time of night br If you look beneath that same Willow Tree br You'll see her figure, still dressed in white br But dancing with her husband to the sound of the creekbr br Shelby Reneebr br
