ANDREW BLAKEMORE - Blossom Sky

ANDREW BLAKEMORE - Blossom Sky

I look upon the blossom sky br Like spring afar the colours shine, br Above the darkened summits br Of this wild and rugged land, br The hush of dawn yields silence here br But for the breathless breeze that blows, br Across the far and distant hills br Which in their greatness stand. br br The sweeping slopes of valleys steep br Now catch the beams of sunlight there, br As they asorb the amber rays br They glow like burnished gold, br As shadows lift upon the ground br Sweet music flows within the air, br As birds now sing with joyful cheer br To melt the morning's cold. br br While heather flows across the heath br Their flowers blending into one, br Where violet sprigs and yellow gorse br Adorn the grassy shawl, br And as the carmine clouds do pass br Which pale as they so gently drift, br I look unto the blossom sky br And watch the petals fall.
