lalitha iyer - A crow's dreams

To build a nest br with twigs unrest br lying here, lying there br to lay some eggs br and breed some chicks br to teach them how to click br to swing in the branches br and spy through the arches br to bathe in the poodles br all cool bathed rooms br in search of green woods br fully loaded with ripened fruits br all life did I stood br for life and livelihood br my nest my homes br one for one crow-hus br same straws yet new nest br next time I breast br sweet life, luxurious breeze br small problems everything within reach br friends of mine br plenty and more br we dine together br that is where we gather br we dirts eat to purify the earth br our souls divine burn the heaps holy br Yet I dream of cages untold br where parrots feed on milk and grains br mellow fruits are ripe and ready br anytime to taste without buddies.
