GREENWOLFE 1962 - The Rough Hewn Face Of God

There's nothing like a camping fire br To warm your heart each day. br And make a man feel right at home, br Though it's so far away. br br There's nothing like a forest glen br Just at the break of dawn. br To give a man a little hope br Whenever it seems gone. br br There's nothing like a mountain stream br As glistening waters flow. br To help a man remember things br Forgotten, long ago. br br There's nothing like a quiet lake br To help you find relief; br When having lost a special friend, br You're overcome with grief. br br There's one more thing that's on my list br Of things men can misplace, br And often find out in the woods br Placed there by Heaven's grace. br br It's what men might see anywhere, br And that's what's oh so odd. br They seem to see it only there, br The Rough Hewn Face Of God.
