Alfred Ramos - Don’t Want To Fall In Love Again

Wet sand squishes between my toes br As I sit on this quiet beach on a winter morn br My stomach is squeamish more than anybody knows br Tears hit the ground like a raging storm br br The foam of an ebb tide caresses my feet br Smoke gray clouds wave to me as they pass by br Seagulls hover as if I had something for them to eat br Or maybe they sense my turmoil and want to share a cry br br I don’t ever want to fall in love again br Don’t want my heart ripped to pieces br I gave all I have to the very end br No matter the reasons the pain never ceases br br A cold wind chills me to the bone br One lone morning star still shines br Why I have to spend this time alone br Tells me I couldn’t read between the lines br br The waves, they roar with discontent br As if agreeing with the downside of my fate br In my heart I know I gave 100 per cent br Now I know the cost of losing my soul mate br br I don’t ever want to fall in love again br From the fall I’ve taken I cannot rise br Though I get down on my knees every now and then br I hear the ocean calling and I’m not good at goodbyesbr br Alfred Ramosbr br
