Mark R Slaughter - My Sneaking Tears

Mark R Slaughter - My Sneaking Tears

How heavy fell the rain that day br From burdened clouds of mournful grey. br The torrent forced them stay their height - br Composure swayed by onerous might. br br My skin wrung wet with icy chill br As mud embraced that sodden hill; br But mind of mine had elsewhere gone - br 'Twas clouds abandoned I was on. br br The driving drops advanced their gears br To camouflage my sneaking tears - br Whence now did swell such floods of pain br To see me melt into this rain… br br On equal bearing now were we: br This rain, myself, in harmony.
