Rows of eager faces br smile at me br from the front page br of the Age br this morning. br Friendly faces, br familiar faces. br Some old and crusty, br others, br terribly young. br br Rows of eager faces br (too many of them) br are no longer with us. br They died br last Saturday - br suffocated br in their cars, br in their homes. br Swallowed by an inferno br that engulfed br without malice, br without warning. br br Rows of eager faces, br are neatly folded now. br I can’t quite br bring myself br to throw them away.
