Alex waters - I'm Incomplete

Alex waters - I'm Incomplete

I’m incomplete. br I know it’s true. br But I have my feet br To get to you. br br It is such a bitter test; br The time has come to go. br I shall head due west, br Though the lands are low. br br I travel light br To keep the pace, br Through the night br Continuing the race. br br Day one finds the past br And I release a sigh. br But my hopes should last, br So long as I stay dry. br br I’m again pursued by doubt, br Now that day seven has found me. br Quite a ways for just one route, br But I still travel soundly. br br But walking feet grow sore, br And weariness is at its best. br I will travel little more br Before I find my rest. br br Then just as I feared, br To add to the pain, br The sun disappeared, br And I drank of the rain. br br But I lift my head br And keep you on my mind. br My life lies ahead, br Though I left it all behind. br br Now this river divides the way. br I slowly swim closer to death, br As I frantically begin to pray, br And desperately gasp for breath. br br What a foolish thing to begin, br A victim of my passion. br Unmasking once again, br Cupid as the assassin. br br But the river was not too deep, br Nor the bear to strong. br The mountain was not to steep, br And now I will not be long. br br So now I run, br And with such haste, br Chasing the sun, br Keeping time from waste. br br Traveling from shore to shore, br Making my way to this home, br Knocking from door to door, br Only to find, I’m all alone.
