Laurie hill - Forests of autumn

Laurie hill - Forests of autumn

I see her, by the lamplight; waiting, br I watch her from the shadows, so dark, br Her hair; ruffled by the soft autumn breeze, br Shining; as gold in the forests of autumn, br Eyes sparkling, so dark, so brown, br As the brown, in the forests of autumn. br Her hand traces slowly; a pattern, br through the mist, falling gently, softly, br onto the mirror she holds, reflecting starlight, br Into her eyes. br br She is waiting; like a girl for her first love, br Waiting nervously; .... waiting for me, br So pretty, so wonderful, so shy, so..! , br The lamplight still shines; but she has gone, br Into the shadows of time. br No pattern traced her mirror, no mirror did I see, br No; .... No one. br The wind blows colder, from the forests of autumn, br I walk; alone, in the silence, br Thinking, ..Remembering, br She died two years ago. br br Moonlight steals slowly, br across the sands where I sit, br The sea, speaks with murmurs on the rocks, br On the shore; ..deserted, br The wind of autumn whispers, across the sailors graves, br Free of lifes worries, ... free of lifes joys, br I listen to the murmurings; Alone, br In this eerie solitude. br I turn and feel, sea spray upon the wind, br in my hair; ..against my cheek, br My eyes taste the salt; .. though closed; br Of my tears br br Quietness descends; .. like an angels cloak, br Can that angel; ..be her of my pain, my tears, br For she has died, br My tears are touched......and dried, br By the wind; from the forests of autumn.
