Sandra Martyres - Neighbours

Sandra Martyres - Neighbours

In metropolitan cities they say br It is easier to walk out on a bad marriage br Than to be rid of a bad neighbour br The former is resolved by separation or divorce br But the latter means running an unending rocky course br Since good apartments are difficult to find br We found ourselves in a dreadful bind br Everything we said was twisted around br Making us wonder if we were going unsound br Any simple act of neighbourly kindness br Was interpreted as a sign of weakness br The unpleasantness got louder br And neighbourly interactions rowdier br We experienced this for two long years br Living in a state of stress driven by all kinds of fears br Till one day when we could stand it no longer br And stepped out to show them who was stronger br We approached the local law keepers br And recounted all our grievances br Without omitting the details of our horrific experiences br Immediate action was taken br Our recalcitrant neighbours were summoned and berated br That no further complaints would be tolerated br That this was their final chance to reform br Or else they risked facing societal scorn br Hopefully they will from ignominy now refrain br And let us lead normal lives againbr br Sandra Martyresbr br
