Herbert Nehrlich - The Little People

Herbert Nehrlich - The Little People

I had a dream today, br my afternoon siesta br had only just begun br and I had drifted off, br when noises from the alley, br where cats and vermin live, br commenced their daily br and disruptive celebration br of life-long dreams to reach br the summit of mediocrity. br br A giant step, no doubt, br be born in squalour br and filth of rubbish, br dumped by those who have. br br Not many do succeed br in this endeavour, br most cannot jump, br surmount their dull-gray shadows. br br How sad, some say br that opportunities do not br exist in some form of equality, br condemning thus -no mercy- br the furry ones forever br to the fate of what is called br the lost world of br the little people.
