(Pay Toilet) br br Here I sit all broken hearted br Paid a nickel and couldn't get started br Always did like that old pome br Because it hits so close to home. br Nowadays it would cost much more br A nickel wouldn't even get you through the door. br But in olden times when we were small br We'd crawl under the door and into the stall. br Today that wouldn't make much sense br To do such a thing to save five cents. br But a nickel then would buy something dandy br Could get you a cone or a bar of candy br Or a pack of gum or something groovy br Save up two, you could go to a movie. br Times do change, not always for the best br So take what you can and forget the rest.
