They found her dried tears br at the beach br beneath the sand; br br in a phone booth br where calls came from; br br inside Cruelty's Eye; br at the edges of Sharp Words, br br in eddies whirling in Mean-Spirited Space; br br in the crevices of a Frowning Brow; br br in the Back Hand and redden cheeks; br br in the tracks of her Child-Hood memories; br br on carpeted floors br where she had lain, br face down, soul squashed. br br They found her tears br had tears at the end- br had become a deluge- br washed out to sea. br br But they didn't find her. br br She was gone; br br traces of her smile br br tho lingered on; br br her things of lace, her sad face br in the photographs, br her mild regards br her notes br signed Millicent; br br the dark doodles on her high school books. br br He finally called br br and she rose br on Rainbowed Air br br tear by tear br fluttering high- br br one by one br cleaned and cleansed br br and placed br into a new-born's br br baby eyes br and some br were carefully placed br inside child smiles br where joy reins.
