Dónall Dempsey - ' ' ' ' FOR A WALK(for Lyn)

The chair br hugs me br br holds me br like it loves me br br good book good wine br couldn't be more comfy. br br She appears before me br ensconced in coat, hat, scowl & scarf. br br 'Not now...please! ' br I plead telepathically br br but she doesn't speak br ...telepathy. br br Her mittens dangling br like an extra pair of hands. br br 'Come on! ' br she makes me an offer I can't br br refuse br br giving it to me br straigt. br br 'I'm bringing you br for a walk! ' br br I try to confuse her br by telling her br br her left hand shoe br is on her right hand foot br br & her right hand shoe br is only a dog bitten summer sandal. br br She looks br at me br br with a cold br so what. br br I give up br give in br br know that I br can't win br br laugh as I br un-comfort myself. br br 'I need a hand br to hold me br br so the wind won't br push me about! ' br br We walk off br into Time br br (her hand in mine) br br always tis br moment br br exists br for me. br br MY little girl br talking my heart br br .. for a walk.
