GREENWOLFE 1962 - The Girl With Wondrous Glow

I found her there in springtime. br A wondrous time, you know. br My love in all her gloried form br With such a wondrous glow. br br She had no special treasures br That other girls possess. br But she was always doing things br I valued none the less. br br She always held me firmly, br But gently in her arms. br I never felt she knew how much br I valued all her charms. br br She spoke in tender whispers. br A vocal tone so sweet. br She told me all the things she loved, br The things I won't repeat. br br Though just a country bumpkin, br She wasn't dumb at all. br I thought she would have done quite well br At any prom or ball. br br I would have had her join me, br But never got the chance. br She died in autumn, late that year; br Before our Christmas dance. br br She lives again each springtime. br That's when she blooms, you know. br I see her in the flowers. br The Girl With Wondrous Glow.
