Jenna Rose - Holocaust Poem

Jenna Rose - Holocaust Poem

Here I am br Alone in this place br I look around for a familiar face br But all I find are eyes full of fear and hate br br Lower than them I am they say br Treated like a dog day after day br Fed scraps from their table if fed at all br Feeling so insignificant and small br br A number tattooed upon my arm br Living like an animal in a barn br Abeit Macht Frei the gates did say br Freedom would be ours if we worked each day br br The smell was unpleasing br No one knew why br The secret was kept br As curls of smoke floated into the sky br br Piles of glasses br Piles of shoes br Many were lost br What will you do?br br Jenna Rosebr br
