Bill Simmons - Hurricane Katrina

Bill Simmons - Hurricane Katrina

Within the calm still waters br Feel the breath of wind br The wind it turns the water churns br She is giving birth within br br Now across her white caps br And still far out at sea br She whispers she is coming br She gathers up her breeze br br The name that they give her br Soon all the world will learn br The might and strength of a woman's wrath br Is soon to be well earned br br See her rising waters br See her calm still eye br The fury of what is to come br Hear the children cry br br With biblical proportions br There is nothing that can be done br Her strength and will of all she gives br Hurricane Katrina comes br br The levee it can't hold her br Against her massive tides br The city streets are beneath her br As she turns out the lights br br From Mississippi to Alabama br She lays her waters down br The destruction of what once was br So many still not found br br To late to run to late to hide br To late now but to cry br As we wake up to a new morning sun br The day after New Orleans it died.
