C.D. Woods - Teenage Dreams - So Hard To Beat

For John and for those that dream - never let those dreams die, no matter what life is like at that point. br br Standing still, body contracting, chatting br About Saturday's 'escapades' - funny br Isn't it? Hilarious that scar, fell br Out of a taxi, into that br Wet, blood-red, cliff-smell. br br Time still ticks ever forward br Despite the bell bringing. br Take out my phone, glance; br Four hours, twenty minutes br Until my ending. br br I realise that I'm being too congruent br And I realise that I shouldn't br Be pedantic, melancholy, sad. br Yet this maze brings home the sadness br Of my home, I've changed it now br More sad, a heartfelt tone. br br Let's perk it up a bit! br It's nearly christmas now, br 'Good will', 'Giving' and 'Jesus' br All our friends and relatives - br Do they really want to please us? br br And, did that sound sincere? br I hope not really because br For me, it didn't, it couldn't. br Three days left in this hell-house. br br If only Jesus could help - br That invisible man all around - br You've tested me time and time again Lord br But forever you're only going to make me bored.br br C.D.
