Warren Augustus de Guzman - Wondering

Warren Augustus de Guzman - Wondering

Wondering what you might think br I sit and ponder with this drink br That might be too strong for my own good br Be that as it may, it is, as it should br And with this drink I find power to write br Poetry, prose of wonder or spite br Just to appease to he who might bite br On what I have to say tonight br I open the shutters and find it is day br And I have spent twelve hours wasting away br In front of this screen with nothing to say br Nothing to say and nothing to write br To appease to he who just might bite br On what I have to say today br I struggle with what I want to say br Wondering if it will make any sense br I read to the others and speak with their tense br And flirt with their rhyme br And jive with their rhythm br And turn green with envy at their masterful poems br Wondering still where their talent comes from br I seek deep inside me to find peace and calm br To write and write and write some more br And write until my lines are adored br And plastered all over the bedroom walls br Of those who wonder and answer the writer’s callbr br Warren Augustus de Guzmanbr br
