Joseph T. Renaldi - Confectionery Store

Joseph T. Renaldi - Confectionery Store

Recently, I paid a casual visit br To a reputable confectionery store, br And I observed the anxious patrons br As they looked the goodies o'er. br br I saw them make their choices br And it took me back to the day br When I, too, was standing near the counter br In the store owned by the widower Ray. br br I stared in vague indecision br At all the goodies on display br And tapped my hand on the counter br In a nervous and strange way. br br br At the clerk's helpful suggestions br I could only remain silent and gape, br And I still remained indecisive br As to what goodies I would take. br br Buying procedures in a changing world br Is the watchword of today, br But patrons are basically the same br In habits and selecting goodies their way. br br Though I may still be indecisive br While looking at goodies by the score, br A display of tried goodies still remain br In the reputable confectionery store.br br Joseph T.
