James Tipp - Remembrance Sunday 2001

James Tipp - Remembrance Sunday 2001

That war word, has been given meaning yet again, br As we meet in the shadow of the twin towers br Seeking to remember those who died br In what seems so long ago, freedom remains illusive. br Freedom from fear, freedom to speak, freedom to worship. br So on this day, we say our thanks, with gratitude br To the names etched here long ago. br Remember with pride the sacrifice they made for us br Remember to the young who fight today br To keep that flame of freedom lit br Throughout our world, for all people br Remember to that single sacrifice br On a hill outside Jerusalem, br The one who called the world to love br Whose words inspire today’s, humanity br To seek that which is the ultimate power br To love your neighbour as yourself br The greatest challenge of all.
