Bill Grace - Training Accident

Bill Grace - Training Accident

I grieve a young soldier I never met br From a valley where I rarely go br All known of him is from a newspaper br That helped paint the color into the familiar lines. br Anne was correct in her prophecy from student days br That it woud destroy me if I had to see them die. br br I came to love them enough though br From just learning their stories. br To almost freely destroy a career, br It required what was probably over identification. br br God in great mercy killed the career br So I did not have to see them die br The death of the career was depression enough br From what many surely regarded br As only a training accident.
