Eunice Ogunleye - Tears For Katrina

Eunice Ogunleye - Tears For Katrina

Alone I was in a little corner, br Admiring the wonderful nature so fine. br `Enjoying the breeze, br and glad to be alive. br br Suddenly, I hear sounds along the ocean. br I said to myself; br It must be the waves br It’ll be an awesome view; I’d thought. br br To my dismay, it was Katrina. br I dropped down in pain and agony. br Shedding tears in fears. br `Looking at the damage that has been done. br br This day started as a beautiful day br How could it end as a painful day? br If only GOD will make a way, br So I’d know what to say. br br Katrina Oh Katrina! br What have you done? br Why have you taken innocent lives? br Why have you brought sorrow to the happy souls? br br Why? Why? Oh Why? br I believe with life comes hope. br But what is life without happiness? br What is life without food, shelter or clothing? br br For the sounds that I hear br I’d hope I wouldn’t be in fear. br But for the tear that I shed today, br I do not hope to share. br br Up above my head, I hear voices ringing. br Down below me, I see people sinking. br “Why is all this happening? ” br I ended up screaming! br br Oh lord hear our cry, br Restore happiness to Katrina Victims.
