Jan Zimmerman - Nature Walks

Snow falling softly against the windowpane br Angels dust sifted down on sills br As the moon reflects a night light on the world. br Small crisp sounds br Fracture the stillness, br Tentative footfalls are distinguished for my ears. br A furtive glimpse of shining eyes, br Searching for the safety of aloneness. br One small step forward . . . waiting, br Then slowly, one bold step br followed closer by another. br The amazement of the sheer beauty . . . br One small fawn appears.
