The Elm trees by the river br Are a lot like Gothic Arches br I saw in France with Lillian br Except each limo is different br And the arches form feather top br Against the grey clouds lowered br Over Wyto itlock br Before the Mosquitoes come. br Of course the leaves haven't had a chance br To sprout and demonstrate their colors. br The Elms won't last though, br In contrast to the Arches; br Because the Dutch Disease has killed them. br So they hang there by their hair br Waiting for the End or for the br State of Maine to cut them down.br br Kenneth A.
