Wojja Fink - Knowing and Unknowing

Wojja Fink - Knowing and Unknowing

I sometimes wish, I didn’t know a thing, br For when I sit in this unknowingness; br br It’s an oasis of peace br Sunsets of brilliant wonder br br Cast upon the sky br Wisps of clouds and colours br br I or no man could ever paint. br How far the way home br br In this land of emptiness, br Where I do nothing br br Yet words appear from some horizon. br I hear them coming like the postman br br Here is a poem of joy br Assume it though you have it not br br Should your thoughts weigh upon you br Wrap them in joy br br In your internal sunrise. br br A thousand joys will be yours br Unspeakable treasures I will bring you br In this land of unknowingness br br That no one knows, save in the silence br Of the distillery in the mind br Where no footprints fall br On invisible air br br Nor hand or eye or ear br Could shake the peace br That extends in all directions br br West east north south br Contained in a circumference br Of unfamiliar singularity br br You could laugh till br The cows come home br At man’s follies, br Think one thought br And you are amongst them, br The oasis a distant memory.
