The darkness crept in-slinking br 'Cross the creaking maple floors br And in the distance the wind 'twas groaning br While the blackbirds were cackling at the doors br br The trees in the forest black were whispering br Branches were snapping at vampire bats br Dracula came out of hiding in a lust for blood br And the grounds of the estate were covered with black cats br br 'Round the corner came a forboding br A lost and most frightening glare of a stare br 'Twas the wolf of 'Oberon's Ghost'* br Howling at the full moon with care br br And as the night progressed to dawn br But before the first light of day br The undead ran for daytime cover br As the world turned a bleaker shade of gray br br Slowly disappearing 'tis the Sun br The ghouls have worked their vile spells br Preparing the Earth for a 247 place of darkness br Inviting in all of the evil spirits of Hell br br * Oberon br The wraith from my dark poem br Called The Castle on Starlitecafe br br June 7,2009 br br From: The ***Attic Of My Heartbr br Theodora (Theo) Onkenbr br
