Anusha Subramanian - Each Time I Closed My Eyes

Anusha Subramanian - Each Time I Closed My Eyes

Long after mom kissed me good night, br I was afraid to turn off the light, br As horrible figures danced before me, br Each time I closed my eyes. br br I twisted and turned on my bed, br To forget those eyes of sparkling red, br Which flashed before me, br Each time I closed my eyes. br br It was past mid night, br When I realized it was stupid of me, br To get afraid of silly images, br Each time I close my eyes. br br The thought gave me the courage, br To move on with the horrible figures, br Longer than I did till then, br Each time I closed my eyes. br br A man with horrible mask, br A woman with frightening nails, br A child with scary eyes, br And a dazzling fire flared up this time, br As I closed my eyes. br br My eyes were shut tight, br As I controlled my self to hold longer, br And these figures began to fade, br Leaving behind a black screen. br br From then on I knew what to do, br To get rid of frightful images, br And that was to move on, br Each time I close my eyes.
