Wispy calligraphy draws me into br The wintered blue that eyes and so lightly br br Veils her shoulders in fine–twigged taupe lace br Fair weathers bop softly near southern skies br br Drawn out curly-breaths send life to her clay br As if His chubby cheeks were blowing song br br Ethereal devotions to concept br Ancient voyeur for many new quill-ed br br Ones, their delicate nests now expose-d br Engineer-ings unique to their authors br br Transitory weavings for feathered br Nurseries- playpens of precious plume-d br br Three circle and play in her afternoon streams br Gliding peacefully in rays of salience br br At a distance, leaves impersonate br Bouncing about on boughs like tiny mocking- br br Birds in dappled light, obscured treasures br Dangling withered and dry high aloft br br Soon to be gently sent floating to her br Soft moss-ed-beds of fragrant red cypress br br Commingling whiffs trail in from heavens hearth br Warming contemplative lures to His love br br br (English Mountain, Tennessee br November 13,2006) br br Selected for the 2008 Edition Literary Journal 'The Emancipator.
