maitreyee joshi - # On The Edge

maitreyee joshi - # On The Edge

The path going up the mountain br Twists and turns and is steep. br I slog to go up, up and up. br Then when tired, I stand br At the edge of the mountain br And the valley, br I see a valley of flowers br And a row of mountains br With clouds overhanging. br The view breathtaking, br Tempts me to dive br And be with the flowers br Or just fly to the mountains br Across on the clouds. br But I know, br If I dive, it is foolhardiness, br If I fly, I wander, br And if I climb up br Taking the twists and turns br In my stride, it is ambition. br So when I have to trade, br I opt for the view at the top. br br On the edge br of the land and the sea br as I stand, br the lapping waves beckon me br to take a voyage to the infinity. br If I take the voyage, it is an adventure br and if I still walk straight, br it is playing safe. br So when I have to trade, br I take the voyage.
