At the Vaal river finches twitter br and nests hang all over the willow trees br and the fishermen br sit from dusk next to the water, br to try and catch a big one. br br I see a monitor br going from the water br into the undergrowth br and hear how the rippling stream br flows over rocks at places br br There’s a water beetle br that swims around and around br in a calm pool br and tadpoles that rush to and fro. br br With time spent at the river br I find some tranquillity, br while the cars above at the bridge br rush by frantically.
