Bindu Vidyadhar - A Drama Played As Designed

Bindu Vidyadhar - A Drama Played As Designed

Ingrained in me these few happy memories br With us when you were around br The rest were cause for many worries br As father and daughter we were bound br br I wonder how you are coping there br Since you are no longer in the physical dimension br Everyday when I say my prayer br You are the first one I mention br br I shall not rake up the past br Let bygones be bygones br The lesson learnt; let that last br Lest fresh karma spawns br br I have known this to be true br The peace which forgiveness begets br Whatever unpleasantness we went through br For that I have no regrets br br In the silent darkness of midnight br On my bedroom wall shadows cast br The night games played by trees and the streetlight br In fear my heart beat very fast br br I heard a stray dog howl and a yelping pup br Petrified I lay still with no other choice br With all the courage I could muster up br I called out to you in a feeble voice br br You came running to the side of my bed br It was only a shadow; to my senses you made clear br With a gentle smile you lovingly stroked my head br I slept peacefully with no more fear br br Decades have passed and I have wondered br Where your heart lost its tenderness br If only you had sat and pondered br On fleeting illusion and your own blessedness br br With no judgment I do however opine br You did what you thought was right br A drama we played perfect to the design br With your memories I no longer fightbr br Bindu Vidyadharbr br
