Lonnie Hicks - Primordial

Lonnie Hicks - Primordial

Love is throwing your heart in the burning fire br and being willing to see it come back a frozen hulk; br br and doing it again br time after time. br br Love requires that we set fire br to our brain, br and watch it burn br all in Love's Name br and Passion's Call. br br Love is heat; br Love is fire br and we br are Mashmellows br of the Flame. br br Love is time lost. br Who can remember br how long br the Loving Night? br br Love seethes br with searing heat br because once lit br flames surge br and take away br our oxygen; br and we br swoon in the Euphoria. br br Love is Yearning's Call br peeking from behind br the Banyon Tree; br Love's sight br peering between br the leafy leaves br fixing on figure and form br and then is lost br in a single lover's returned glance; br then br both fall down br to Soul's Depth; br most times br never to return br from that br Landscape Primordial. br Why? br Simple. br One does not interrogate The Flame br One does not expect explanations of Fire. br One does not await memos from the Heat. br br Forces of Nature exist within themselves br and we are the Willing Slaves br which obey and cannot resist. br br Extinguish the flame, ban the heat br and we are merely hulks br in the vestibule of existence br feeding but without life, br seeing but without sight br breathing but without heart. br Ahh br Would we have all of this any br other way? br We are always, its seems br in the cold and damp br willing to re-light the fire br feel the heat br even if there is pain.
