Bindu Vidyadhar - Living In A Dream

Bindu Vidyadhar - Living In A Dream

In a dream I am alive br Sometimes laughing and sometimes crying br Who is that who is wide awake? br And who is that who is sleeping? br br Are dreams just another fantasy br My mind telling me fibs br So real is the fear from a nightmare when I awaken br My heart pounding against my ribs br br What is a dream can anyone tell me br A reality or an illusion br A memory of a long lost past br Or of an event is it a premonition? br br My happiest dreams are those in which br I’m weightless and I can fly br In frightful dreams I’m deep in peril caught br And can not escape no matter how hard I try br br The worst dream of all however is that br Of an exam not attended br The subject was always mathematics br That which I always dreaded br br In my dream I argue with myself br And try to come to my senses br I’m in the exam hall so vividly br Searching my place among the benches br br The question paper I look in horror br With fear I begin to hiccup br It’s a dream I know for sure br All I need to do is wake up br br In my dream I somehow realize br I already have secured my degree br Almost everyone is scared of exams br What a relief it was I’m sure you’ll agree! br br I awaken from my slumber br And sit and think for a while br It was only a dream and not for real br I thank my stars and smile br br If a dream could feel so real br Then what about this Creation? br Is it Ultimate Reality? br Or is it just another Illusion? br br Existence is the only truth br Life’s not real as is does seem br Reality is in another realm br I am now living within a dream br br This dream vanishes when I awaken br It lasts as long as I sleep br I enter everlasting light on death br This hope in my heart I keep br br 11.07.
