This poem was written by my father Peter Traykoski one week before he died from pancreatic cancer on 17 April 2001 br br br The leaves on the trees have changed color br Red and yellow leaves are falling to the ground br When the green returns br I will not be around. br br I've died thousand deaths before br With every dead solder in the world war br I've died with my father and mother br I've died a little with my young brother br I've died twice with my son, br then with sadness in my heart br Again my life began br br Now it is time to say good by br It is time to die the last death, br I am not ashamed to admit br Few tears i have shed.
