Lonnie Hicks - A Past, A Present and It Seems Dreams

Moments are so tragic; br each to pass from Now br to the indelible Used To Be so quickly; br to pass Out Of Existence. br br Even Joy is moment-to-momentary br must be renewed each Now br to avoid its demise into the Used To Be. br br Sad goes from my face Now br and is forever preserved and entombed br in the great Has Happened Already- br an Iron, unrelenting destiny. br br There is no Un-Sad br which can undo grief br once occurred it sinks br into the br Last Moment's abyss; br br it goes instantly into br the Walled-off br never to be retrieved. br br How sad. br The Past br happens so soon br and is never reconvened. br br Future Yet is so malleable br and promising- br tragic past is forever engraved- br in Soul-Stone. br br Now is all we have br and the in-between; br like air br cannot be captured br before it is gone; br happily br or sadly. br leaving us only br with br Future Dreams br which by definition br are not yet real br but which are also br Sustaining br as we moment br through. br br So our predicament: br the inaccessible Past br the Fleeting now extinct Now br and the Non-Existent Future; br so exactly where are we br in thinking about this- br well, said the Physicist br we are popping in and out of existence br therefore suffer from Physical Uncertainty br and therefore poof, even this sentence is gone br even before it reaches the period.
