Leah Ayliffe - Human Contradiction

Leah Ayliffe - Human Contradiction

If it wasn't for a sunny day br after the worst of storms coward br then where would hope lie? br In the arms of the broken br no easier lost than found br as i walk and talk i realize br that i myself am no less than a human contradiction br inflicted with emotions that do not mesh; br the rain brings forth smiles br the light brings in darkness br br to contain truth is unbearable br but to wear a mask is far more painful br with the answers scratching at the surface br slowly killing you to break through br though sometimes death is tempting br if you get to live in ignorant bliss br br knowledge is all anyone grasps for now br leaving truth aside br but without truth where is life? br where does the faith and hope br passion and desire br freedom br run to? br At moments they shine through the cracks and holes br that have not been influenced and tainted. br those moments of beauty strung along br create the only memories worth reliving br before the soul itself escapes the blind shell of life br to break free br to laugh and cry br to live br beyond all else that has failed br jumping into a new world without fear br for fear is foolish br br soon the flames burn out br the dust leaves a trail br following the same footsteps br until its too late to make new ones.
