ANDREW BLAKEMORE - Unemployed

ANDREW BLAKEMORE - Unemployed

So long without a job he's been br And cannot make ends meet, br He wears an extra jumper br For he can't afford the heat, br He feels that he is useless br And has nothing more to give, br Sometimes he wants to end it all br And doesn't want to live. br br For he was made redundant br Many desperate years ago, br He saw the local factories close br And felt the cruel winds blow, br His wife then left and took the kids br And did not keep in touch, br He never got the chance to say br He loved them all so much. br br So now he's all alone br Without a penny to his name, br He bears the guilt and sadness br Yet he's not the one to blame, br Now he stares out of the window br Watching days go passing by, br Too strong he feels to ask for help br But weak enough to cry.
