Rani Turton - Asking

Rani Turton - Asking

Yet again, a wanderer at your shore. br br Asking and not waiting for your reply. br Waiting but not wanting; watching but silently. br The eternal presence about eternal emotion br That can move rocks to tears: tears, yes, but br Fabric-ribbed, wounds and profoundly enough br Vacant lots in the mind. br br Asking, and not waiting for you to turn back br With a glance or a smile. Elegance and rhetoric br Once when you took over my imagination br And the wonder of it all: the furtive questions that br Would insistently knock at my temples at the break of day: br Asking but walking away.
