Hebert Logerie - After The Boom

Hebert Logerie - After The Boom

There is total silence br No offense, no defense br Everything stops br There are no mops br No janitors br No dancers br No firemen br No policemen br Dust covers the Sun br Dirt hovers over the Moon. br br The unnatural eruption br The infernal demolition br Hell lives on Earth br Death sleeps on the turf br Children cannot wail br Adults cannot yell br The devils are present br God must be absent br Explosion is everywhere br This is too much to bear. br br After the boom… br There is total silence. br br Tear Down the Walls br br That was a powerful statement br Made by a serious President. br These words changed the continents br And the whole world. br Those words made a lot of sense br To the young and the old. br That was back then, br Why now, more walls are being erected. br I guess, we, humans, br Never learned from our shortsighted br Experience due to selfishness, br Greed, hypocrisy, and weakness. br There is always a humane way br To encircle the heavens with your concrete walls br And your venomously man-made bay. br No matter how tall br Is your fence, you cannot stop the air br From traveling and twirling in the atmosphere. br You cannot stop the waves from caressing the shore. br You cannot stop the volcanoes from burning the floor. br All walls will come down one day. br All chiefs will return penniless to the alley br Of death, where vitam aeternam is a laughing matter; br When Mom speaks, you better listen to Mother. br Brother against brother, sister against sister, br Nation against nation, the universe belongs to my brother, br To my sister and to all of us; it does not matter br Where you were born, br The sound of the horn br Will disintegrate your soul when the time comes. br br Please tear down the walls and plant colorful mums.
