David Harris - A Tree Mouse

David Harris - A Tree Mouse

Wherever you go, you’ll see them br assorted coloured tree mice. br They can be white, black, red and grey. br I must admit I have never seen one br with poker-dot spots, br by now your asking br what the heck is a tree mouse. br Well they are bushy tailed rodents br that love nuts and fruit and other assorted things. br Like a cat, they’ll raid a dustbin or two. br They scamper across our lawn br come the summer time br even do a high wire act br when cables are off the grown. br They tease the neighbourhood cats br with their arial displays br saying come and catch me if you can. br Knowing full well the poor cat br is no tightrope walker. br They are cheeky little fellows br and you cannot help watching them. br If you have a bag of peanuts br and your not quick enough br they will climb down your arm br help themselves, then grab the lot. br Some people call them a pest br and I know a few cats br would agree with that. br Personally, I get great pleasure br watch the tree mice play.
