Next, Buddha moved to Rajagriha, br The Capital of Kingdom Maghada. br King Bimbisara received Buddha well. br As he was already his disciple. br br Buddha and his disciples br Went with their alms-bowls, br And the king gave them food, br With reverence and gratitude. br br For their comfortable rest, br He gave the bamboo forest, br Veluvana, near the capital, br Which was very beautiful. br br A convenient place it was br For their preaching use, br Also for their meditation, br And practicing lessons. br br When the king was a visitor, br Others followed him there. br Veluvana became crowded, br When all people visited. br br They came with disturbed mind, br But with great relief, they returned. br Buddha showered compassion, br Rich or poor, to everyone. br br All his disciples found br That he was very kind br Towards them uniformly br And treated them nicely. br br One was slow in learning br As he wasn’t remembering br Whatever taught to him. br Others mocked at him. br br Buddha took up this case br And handled him with ease. br He told him one, one sentence br Each day, with all patience. br br As if it was a miracle, br In a few days, this disciple, br Picked up lessons well br To the surprise of all. br br Buddha just said catch words, br “Words, thoughts and actions, br Greed, anger, and stupidity, br Which settled in his mind quickly. br br The disciple said, “From now on, br My thought, speech and action, br I shall control to avoid br Anger, stupidity and greed.” br br Buddha completed, “Thereby br You’ll attain enlightenment surely.” br Buddha was an incarnation br Of limitless compassion.
