Swatimalya Chattopadhyay - Brighter Vision

Swatimalya Chattopadhyay - Brighter Vision

In a breezy evening br I cruise my boat on a calm sea, br above me remains the star-studded sky, br darkness spells all around and br mingles the sky with the sea, br difficult to delineate the horizon. br I align myself to the luminous stars br forgetting the eerie darkness, br a transcendence prevails me all over. br br The bloom of the full moon br looms large br on the other side of the shore, br the glow mellows br and reflects on the sea br I wish to befriend the halo of the moon, br shying away from its stigma. br br With the daybreak br when the sun ascends br and derives its momentum, br brightness befalls br but emits heat to radiate, br I wish to cling to the dazzle of the sun br ignoring sultry sweats. br br Sudden surge of the rain br overwhelms me br and drenches me completely, br I enjoy the fond caresses of the raindrops br on my forehead and cheeks, br the numbness of my chilled body br cannot detach me br from the hangover of caresses. br br I pray to the Almighty br ' O Lord! give me strength br to behold only brightness of the things. br Let my inflicted injuries br out of torments, tortures br and disparagement br melt away to the shower of love. br Let my bygone past br and mystic future br go into oblivion, br please engulf me in my immediate present br where I can know only one key word br which is 'Brighter Vision'.
