Rajaram Ramachandran - #(Buddha) 27 An Arrow That Killed

Buddha faced questions br From the intellectuals, br Like “how the body differ br From the spirit that suffer? ” br br “What happens to the soul, br After death of an individual? ” br A story, Buddha told them br That finally convinced them. br br Once a man was struck br By an arrow at his back. br People rushed to pull it out, br But he wasn’t for taking it out. br br He asked, “Who shot this one? br Is it made of copper or iron? br They said, “We shall find it, br After pulling the arrow out.” br br But he said, “Don’t touch me. br Tell first, who tried to kill me? ” br They said, “Oh man, as blood br Flows out, you’ll be dead.” br br But the man was adamant br And allowed them not br To dress the wound br That drained out blood. br br At the end, he died br Losing all the blood, br For his own obstinacy br Resulted in this tragedy. br br Had the man allowed br Them to dress his wound br He would have survived br And from death saved. br br This will happen to one, br Not showing his concern br To solve urgent problems, br But is after abstract themes.
