sathya narayana - SINECURE

sathya narayana - SINECURE

A mosquito on my hand; I smiled at her br She evaded my eyes and dug deep into my skin br ‘zrrrrrrrrrr’! Sipped my blood without fear br Again I smiled; rather I did grin br br This time she looked with dozy eyes at me br Laughed aloud and tried to take off, br Stumbled a bit and fumbled her way to the br Nearby chair and managed to cough br br She looked around as if she is unable br To see anything and moved precariously br Towards the cabinet at the corner wall br Looked at the files and left my room lazily br br Few weeks later, during my evening stroll br Along the side of a drainage channel br I found that mosquito and called her br “I haven’t seen you for too long! Gone where? ” br br She looked aghast at me and after a long brood br Said, “By our mosquito-king’s decree br I never dared to come to your sinecure br The order said; never touch a Govt.
