I always start out with a kettle br A good sized pan for me br A cutting board and knife I need br I chop very carefully br br I have a pile of veggies br My garden’s last embrace br Sweet and oh, so flavorful br Will be the final taste br br Onions caramelized and sweet br Carrots crisp and nice br My herbs from the garden too br To add a little spice br br Garlic adds its special flavor br Chopping celery I hear the crunch br I like it in fairly small pieces br So delicious too to munch br br Tomatoes from my garden now br In the oven first to roast br That adds a special kind of taste br That I so love the most br br Perhaps I add a chicken breast br And chicken stock as well br I put the lid on tightly now br So my soup can start to swell br br Ah yes, the fragrance of my soup br Is such a joy to me br Autumn is the time to enjoy br My soup so deliciously!br br Marilyn Lottbr br
