I write because I have to - 'Hurt me'

I write because I have to - 'Hurt me'

She said hurt me and it hurt me br but I did it because I loved her, br at least that’s what I told myself, but I didn’t believe that and neither did she. br We just met three hours ago - br a flashing passing, a fleeting meeting - br the conversation of eyes, br introductions in minds, br dances in glances. br We both knew how this night would end before it began so we gave in. br Two hours prior - flirty winks, lots of drinks, lots of jokes br and as we spoke I couldn’t help but picture her on the beach br under an umbrella like the one in her drink. br So when she ordered a sex on the beach that’s exactly what we did br in the car by the big Bahamas billboard on the corner, br under street light palm trees, br on city sidewalks of sand, br under the sunlight at noon of the midnight moon, br and finally in her bed under her poster of Hawaii. br She’d never been there before br but there we were tonight br on beaches of Broadway on the 17th floor. br Drunk out of our minds, intertwined br hypnotized by the snake of her spine br the curve of her hips, the lines of her back br that peaceful place at the nape of her neck br her hair like tendrils of angels fingers that she told me to pull harder br her fingers that dug into my sides br I’ll never forget what she said when she cried, br 'hurt me.' br 'hurt me.
