I walked naked into a cloud br That floated playfully upon the hill. br I was alone, there was not a crowd, br Upon the place of emptiness unfulfilled. br In silence I placed my wandering feet br Firmly upon the ground of defeat. br br The waves of voices were far away, br For I could not hear them in this place. br I was content to be isolated in this way, br Perfectly alone without one angry face. br In solitude I opened my thoughts br To memories of pain that was brought. br br I see now with mind so absolutely clear br The pattern of twilight that played so free; br The lost passion for life once held so dear. br I shivered with open eyes in winter breeze, br On this hill where the cloud surrounded me. br For this place was now where I would be. br br I let the air perfectly entrap my mind, br My naked heart open in the pain it caught. br I will flee the hurt that has been defined, br And rush uncertainly into prisms of thought. br I walked naked into a cloud br Where whatever I wanted was allowed.br br Chris G.
