My heart burned and burned br Fuelled by logs of anguish, br Fanned by winds of despair br Fed by juice of my guts. br The fire spread like a bushfire br That intergalactic fire br With hungry flames dire br Raring to devour cosmos br Or our world nailed on cross. br br The fire became intense br And my blood became incense. br The sun too was in confusion br And wondered aloud, fission or fusion. br He too came to borrow the heat br And ashamed volcanoes rubbed their feet. br br The scientist Accused me for global warming br The farmers Blamed me for poor farming br The people Charged me for world-wide starving br The governments Damned me for grievous harming. br br Suddenly alarm hummed br like a drummer br And I woke up from slumber br To find the heater turn on br In midst of summer.
