Dr Kamran Haider Bukhari - Breaking Up

Dr Kamran Haider Bukhari - Breaking Up

A dream walking on its toes br A noise of my breaking soul br I heard a voice of a child crying br Yes, I want more br The ego screamed br No, don’t move br Dream frozen at its feet br Rattle of another battle br What the hell is going on br br My life was taking a nap br In the meadows of oblivious sleep br Awaken with the terror of recurring past br Ran towards the future of melting dreams br Fate was a silent observer of the whole scenario br Until the child cried once more br br I was fallen yet again br Shattered into countless pieces br Dew drops shimmering with a naïve desire br Over the magnum opus of my broken self br Whispering 'once more' as it still remains br A man in white uninterested and mechanical br Whistling a novel tune and cleaning the mess br br br P.S. Written subsequent to the idea given by a very good friend and a very fine poet herself, Dr Indira Babbellapati (Professor of English, Andhra University) .
